APTA Austin Sports Day

The day in Austin APTA on May 4th, 2024, will always be cherished as a fun-filled occasion Austin APTA Game Day 2024. It all began with an idea me, Shiva Papolu , Vamsi garu, and Naga Yerramsetty garu back in January to organize a game day. Despite encountering some challenges, including unpredictable weather in Austin, our determination prevailed, and even nature seemed to cooperate by not raining  heavily or being excessively hot.

A special note of gratitude goes to Hemanth garu , the Austin Sports coordinator, for his patience and unwavering support throughout the game day and from planning and organizing the calls and assigning tasks. Vamsi garu and Shiva also deserve sincere thanks for their invaluable assistance from start to finish.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to Neelima Jitta garu for her support as a sports volunteer and for overseeing the games. Appreciation  to all the team leaders—Shiva papolu, Vamsi Toleti, Hemanth Jenyavula, and Rama Nimma—for their role in motivating and encouraging their respective teams.

Furthermore, I express gratitude to all the game coordinators, including Chaitanya Adapa, Bharath Borusu, Asrith Madivada, Bhanu Addanki, Sasi Gunukula, Hari kiran Muthyala, Ram Yenumula, Keerthi Tarani, Bhanu Repella, Naga Yerramsetty, Rajesh Akula, Samba Sura, Revanth Balla, Venu Arisenkala, and Prathap, for their efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the games.

A special acknowledgment goes to Rama Nimma garu and Vasuki Chilamkurthy for capturing the memorable moments through photos and videos. The event wouldn’t have been complete without the contribution of the food volunteers, including Santhoshi Akula, Santhoshi Bevara, Anusha Ramisetty, Anusha Yerramsetty, Prasanthi Polisetty, Sridevi Balla, Swetha Nimma, Jahnavi and Madhavi Kunche, whose dedication ensured everyone was well-fed.

Special thanks are also extended to Kiranmayi and Valli Jenyavula for their efforts in bringing props and decor as well as to Samatha Sura for her pics.

Last but not least, I’d like to express appreciation to the children for their cooperation and to the parents for attending and enjoying the event. Your presence truly made the day even more special.

With all your support and organizing games more than players participated in this event.. Yesterday according to my view I definitely want to highlight few people 

APTA Naris:

Vaahini Jaldu for her speed and she is also a new mom but  she managed to be  the winner in racing  among 20+ ladies who participated and Aamani Akkireddi and Sireesha Yerramsetty you guys rocked 
Santhoshi Akula for her cricket shots and even opposite teams unanimously declared her as the man of the series and all the tug of war winners.

Prathap Enugonda garu for the videos to verify the winners , I only see that in Tv for 3 rd umpire you are the best.
Ram Yenumula for helping with the names and signatures.

Its is very essential to play in the ground once in a while , despite all the folks are occupied with their regular works. Kudos to Sireesha Villa and Nirmal Jaldu  , Manju Muthyala and Hari Padala for organizing a wonderful event which brought sporting spirit among all of us.  I’m surprised to see the behaviour and attitude of the participants carried throughout the day like listening to leaders, disciplined and encouraging others while playing, and helping at the end for cleaning up. 

I also extend my special thanks to PR team Naga Yerramsetty, Vasuki Chilamkurthy and Sambasivarao sura.
